4 slices brioche bread
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
maple syrup for serving
powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few moments.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Once melted, add the soaked brioche slices.
Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove from skillet and serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
Leftover French toast can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in a toaster or skillet.
