Brioche French toast is an indulgent breakfast delight that combines buttery brioche bread with creamy egg custard, resulting in a rich flavor and fluffy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices brioche bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • maple syrup for serving
  • powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  2. Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few moments.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Once melted, add the soaked brioche slices.
  4. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from skillet and serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
  • Leftover French toast can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in a toaster or skillet.
