- 1 head cabbage
- 1 pound turkey bacon
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water until soft, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and chop.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
- Mix cooked rice, chopped bacon, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika in a bowl.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
- Place rolled cabbage in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, replace turkey bacon with mushrooms.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
