This indulgent turkey bacon twist on the classic homemade mac and cheese will delight your taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni and crumbled turkey bacon to the cheese sauce; mix until well combined.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
