This Japanese Egg Sandwich, or Tamago Sando, offers a delightful blend of creamy egg filling between soft, fluffy bread. Perfect for a quick meal or snack!

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices soft white bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, then cool them in ice water.
  2. Peel the eggs and mash them in a bowl.
  3. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the eggs and mix well.
  4. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  5. Place the egg mixture on the unbuttered side of two slices of bread.
  6. Top with the remaining slices, buttered side up.
  7. Toast in a skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Slice in half and serve.
