  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into rounds.
  3. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
  5. Add the sliced sweet potatoes and water, stirring to coat.
  6. Transfer to an oven-safe dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes, basting occasionally.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
