A flavorful and comforting dish that combines the taste of sushi with the ease of a baked casserole.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup furikake seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded nori (seaweed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine sushi rice and water, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until water is absorbed.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and green onions.
  4. Spread the cooked sushi rice in a baking dish.
  5. Layer the salmon mixture over the rice, then sprinkle with furikake and shredded nori.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • This dish can be made ahead and reheated for convenience.
