An easy and indulgent family treat that transforms classic Pop-Tarts into a delightful pie.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package pie crusts
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out the pie crusts and place one in a pie dish.
  4. Pour the strawberry mixture into the crust.
  5. Cover with the second crust and seal edges.
  6. Cut slits in the top for steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before icing.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together icing sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle over the cooled pie.
